Promotion of Indian Classical Dances in Schools

The Government of India is integrating traditional Indian dances into school education as part of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This initiative promotes art-integrated education, fostering creativity and cultural awareness among students. The Ministry of Culture, through the Sangeet Natak Akademi, has launched the Kala Dharohar Series to enhance appreciation for Indian performing arts. Additionally, the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) offers scholarships and conducts workshops to support the preservation and promotion of Indian cultural heritage, particularly in classical dance.
