Raajmarg Infra Investment Trust Secures Five National Highway Concessions
The Raajmarg Infra Investment Trust (RIIT), sponsored by NHAI, has secured a significant milestone with the acquisition of five national highway concessions valued at Rs. 9,500 crores. This asset monetization spans 260 km across Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. The move aligns with India's National Monetisation Pipeline and aims to enhance private sector involvement in infrastructure management while offering retail investors lucrative returns from mature highway assets. In the coming 3 to 5 years, additional highway assets covering approximately 1,500 km are expected to be provided to RIIT for further monetization.
