Rabi Crops Show Significant Growth as of January 2026

The Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare reported a notable increase in Rabi crop coverage in India as of January 16, 2026. The total area covered under Rabi crops increased by 20.88 lakh hectares from the previous year, reaching 652.33 lakh hectares. Pulses showed a remarkable rise, especially Gram, which increased by 4.66 lakh hectares. This data indicates a steady progress in the Rabi season for 2025-26.
