Railways to Manufacture 260 Vande Bharat Sleeper Trainsets
The Ministry of Railways, under the leadership of Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, has announced a comprehensive plan to manufacture 260 rakes of Vande Bharat Sleeper trainsets. The project is being developed through a phased approach involving prototype creation, trials, and series production executed by BEML, Integral Coach Factory, Chennai, and technology partners. The modern trains promise enhanced safety and comfort with features like higher acceleration, regenerative braking, and advanced safety systems such as KAVACH.
