Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh has approved an expanded definition of 'family' for allotment of Government Accommodation to Service Officers, now including parents, dependent siblings, and legally adopted children. This expansion aims to benefit Service Officers, especially Single Women Officers living with parents, and aligns with the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act 2007.
