Rashtriya Gokul Mission Enhances Livestock Development in Jharkhand

The Government of India has been implementing the Rashtriya Gokul Mission (RGM) since December 2014 to promote the conservation and development of indigenous cattle breeds, enhance milk production, and improve the genetic quality of livestock in Jharkhand. Key initiatives include a nationwide artificial insemination program, the introduction of sex-sorted semen technology, and training of community resource persons to provide quality services to farmers. The program has benefitted millions of farmers and animals in Jharkhand, contributing to the overall livestock health and productivity in the region.
