RDI Fund Initiative Targets Strategic Sectors

The Department of Science & Technology (DST) in India will operationalize the new Research, Development, and Innovation (RDI) Scheme through the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF). This initiative is structured to support key sectors such as energy transition, climate action, deep-tech advancements, AI applications, biotechnology, and digital economy. The scheme involves a two-tier funding system, leveraging a Special Purpose Fund and collaboration with various financial and development institutions. The RDI Fund aims to bridge the gap between academic research and market-ready products by advancing projects through different Technology Readiness Levels.
