On August 26, 2025, a Regional Review Meeting of the State Channelising Agencies (SCAs) of the National Minorities Development & Finance Corporation (NMDFC) was held in Kochi, Kerala, chaired by Minister of State for Minority Affairs, Shri George Kurian. The meeting focused on empowering minority communities through concessional loans for self-employment and income generation, emphasizing the role of cooperative federalism and the importance of technology in disseminating information about government schemes. The Minister urged agencies to work towards the holistic development of minority communities, aligning with the vision of a developed India by 2047.
