Regulatory Framework for Preservation of Heritage Art and Culture
The Ministry of Culture has examined the cultural heritage preservation laws of Kenya and Seychelles to inform India's approach. The Seychelles model emphasizes institutional autonomy, while Kenya focuses on community involvement. The Ministry oversees 43 organizations dedicated to preserving India's cultural heritage and administers seven Central Sector Schemes aimed at promoting both tangible and intangible cultural traditions.
