Release of Declassified Joint Doctrines for Cyberspace and Amphibious Operations
On August 7, 2025, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan and the Secretary of the Department of Military Affairs released declassified versions of the Joint Doctrines for Cyberspace Operations and Amphibious Operations in New Delhi. This move aims to enhance the visibility and accessibility of India's joint war-fighting concepts. The Cyberspace Operations doctrine focuses on a unified defense strategy integrating offensive and defensive capabilities, while the Amphibious Operations doctrine outlines the framework for coordinating maritime, air, and land forces. The CDS is also developing additional doctrines for various contemporary military operations.
