Release of Joint Doctrines for Special Forces and Airborne Operations
On August 27, 2025, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan unveiled two key doctrinal publications at the RAN SAMWAD Tri-service seminar in Madhya Pradesh. The Joint Doctrine for Special Forces Operations and the Joint Doctrine for Airborne & Heliborne Operations were developed with input from all three military services. These doctrines provide essential guidelines for operational concepts and interoperability, enhancing joint operational capabilities and readiness to address emerging security challenges.
