Return of Sacred Buddha Relics Marks Milestone in India-Bhutan Relations
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju arrived in Bhutan to lead a delegation for the return of the Sacred Relics of Lord Buddha, which have been on public display since November 8, 2025. The relics will return to India on November 25, symbolizing the deep spiritual ties between India and Bhutan. During his visit, Rijiju met with Bhutan's Prime Minister, highlighting the enduring friendship and cultural affinity between the two nations. A booklet on 23 sacred sites linked to Guru Rinpoche was also released, reaffirming their shared heritage.
