Revamped Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan: Establishment of Panchayat Learning Centres across India
The Ministry of Panchayati Raj has developed Panchayat Learning Centres (PLCs) under the Revamped Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan to strengthen the governance capabilities of Panchayati Raj Institutions. As of February 2026, 1,152 Gram Panchayats have transformed into PLCs, serving as knowledge hubs for capacity building and peer learning. These centers empower elected representatives through training in governance, financial management, and public service delivery, supporting the achievement of local sustainable development goals.
