Rising Participation of Girls in NCC Cadet Enrollment
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) in India has seen rising participation, particularly from female cadets, over the past five years. Enrollment figures reveal an impressive increase, with total girl cadet enrollment reaching 40.68% in 2025 from 35.50% in 2021. The government has implemented several measures to encourage female participation, including upgraded training infrastructure and the involvement of women Associate NCC Officers. The government has also made strides in the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, where four new NCC units have been established.
