Road Transport Ministry Proposes Key Amendments for Ambulance Safety

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has proposed amendments to the Automotive Industry Standard (AIS)-125 to enhance road ambulance safety, functionality, and medical capabilities. Key changes include the introduction of specialized ambulances such as Neonatal and Multi-stretcher Road Ambulances. Additionally, rescue equipment will be mandatory for all ambulances in certain classes, and e-ambulances will have dedicated power sources to support medical equipment.
