Rollout of 5G Services in India

The Ministry of Communications has announced the successful rollout of 5G services across all States and Union Territories in India, with availability in 99.8% of districts. As of June 30, 2025, 486,000 5G Base Transceiver Stations have been installed. The government has implemented various initiatives to support this rollout, including spectrum auctions, financial reforms, and the establishment of 5G Use Case labs in higher educational institutions for skill development in collaboration with international companies like Ericsson and Qualcomm.
