Rural Development Initiatives in 2025 Boost Infrastructure and Employment

In 2025, India's Ministry of Rural Development executed several initiatives under various schemes aimed at improving rural infrastructure, livelihoods, and social security. The Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) completed 16,000 km of roads and over 900 bridges, enhancing rural connectivity. The Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana - National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) empowered 2 crore women to become financially independent, while the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin sanctioned over 3.86 crore houses.
