Sacred Relics of Buddha Arrive in Leh

The Sacred Holy Relics of Tathagata Buddha have been ceremonially received in Leh, Ladakh, beginning a major spiritual event. The relics were escorted by spiritual leaders Drukpa Thuksey Rinpoche and Khenpo Thinlas Chosal, and greeted by the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Vinai Kumar Saxena. This is the first time the relics are being exhibited in India from their original place of preservation, with previous exhibitions occurring globally. This event underscores Ladakh's historical connection to Buddhism, and the relics will be on public display at various locations in Ladakh till mid-May.
