Sagarmala Programme Projects Update

The Sagarmala Programme includes 839 projects with a total investment of Rs. 5.79 lakh crores. Of these, 280 projects worth Rs. 1.42 lakh crores have been completed, 209 projects worth Rs. 1.62 lakh crores are currently under implementation, and 350 projects worth Rs. 2.75 lakh crores are in various stages of development. Delays in project implementation are primarily due to land acquisition issues, statutory clearances, local protests, and changes in project scope. The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways is taking steps to expedite project completion through regular reviews and stakeholder meetings.
