Sagarmala Programme: Rail and Road Connectivity Update

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways has identified 272 road and rail connectivity projects under the Sagarmala Programme, with 74 completed, 67 underway, and 131 in development. A National Sagarmala Apex Committee oversees the projects, which include 839 initiatives costing approximately 5.79 lakh crore, with 119 projects funded through Public-Private Partnerships. The Ministry has revised funding guidelines to enhance financial propriety and expedite project implementation.
