Sahara Cooperatives Refund Update

The Ministry of Cooperation has reported on the disbursement of refunds to depositors of the Sahara Group of Cooperative Societies, following a Supreme Court order. An online portal was launched for claim submissions, and as of July 23, 2025, over Rs. 5,139 Crores have been disbursed to more than 27 lakh depositors. The process is supervised by Justice R. Subhash Reddy and aims to ensure transparency and proper identification of claimants. The deadline for refunds has been extended to December 31, 2025.
