SAIL Supplies Special Steel for INS Arnala

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has supplied the entire requirement of special steel for the Indian Navy's first indigenously designed Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft, INS Arnala, commissioned on June 18, 2025. This initiative supports India's self-reliance in defense and reduces import dependency, aligning with the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiative. SAIL has also provided special steel for seven other ASW-SWC corvettes being built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers.
