Samarth Scheme Extended to 2026

The Indian government has extended the Samarth Scheme by two years, now valid up to March 31, 2026. The extension aims to continue the Scheme for Capacity Building in the Textiles Sector, which offers skill development programs catered to the textile industry, excluding spinning and weaving, contributing significantly to employment in this sector. Over 4,64,812 beneficiaries have gained employment through the scheme as of March 2026. The scheme maintains 4,430 active training centers across India.
