Sanchar Saathi Recovers Over 50,000 Phones in October 2025

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) announced that its Sanchar Saathi initiative has successfully recovered over 50,000 lost and stolen mobile phones in October 2025, contributing to a total of over 7 lakh recoveries nationwide. Karnataka and Telangana led with over 1 lakh recoveries each, while Maharashtra followed with over 80,000. The initiative has seen a 47% increase in monthly recoveries, with more than one phone recovered every minute. The DoT encourages citizens to use the Sanchar Saathi app for reporting lost devices and checking the authenticity of phones.
