The Ministry of Tourism has launched the SASCI scheme to develop iconic tourist centers across India, sanctioning 40 projects worth ₹3295.76 Crore with 100% central funding. The initiative aims to enhance the tourist experience while promoting responsible tourism practices, creating job opportunities, and boosting local economies. State governments are responsible for the operation and maintenance of these projects, which are expected to attract both domestic and international tourists.
