Scholarship Schemes Enhance Tribal Education in Bihar's Seemanchal Region

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, India, is actively promoting educational opportunities for tribal students in Bihar's Seemanchal region through various scholarship schemes. These initiatives include Pre-Matric and Post-Matric scholarships, national fellowships, and overseas scholarships, ensuring substantial financial aid for tribal students from Class IX to higher education. The Ministry also plans to establish hostels to improve access to education. Despite progress, no blocks in the Seemanchal region currently meet the criteria for establishing Eklavya Model Residential Schools. The government's DAPST also allocates funds for tribal development projects.
