Scholarship Support for Scheduled Caste Students

The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment reported that financial assistance through the Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) and Top-Class Education schemes has significantly improved educational standards for Scheduled Caste (SC) students in India. Over the past five years, more than 2.2 million SC students benefited from these schemes, enabling them to pursue higher education in prestigious institutions. This initiative has reduced financial burdens and enhanced socio-economic mobility for SC communities, as stated by Union Minister Ramdas Athawale in a Rajya Sabha reply.
