The Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) for September 2025 indicates a continued rise in the Labour Force Participation Rate (LFPR), reaching a five-month high of 55.3%. Female LFPR has also increased to 34.1%, the highest since May 2025, driven by growth in rural female participation. The Worker Population Ratio (WPR) stands at 52.4%, while the overall Unemployment Rate (UR) has slightly risen to 5.2%. This report highlights the strengthening economic inclusion of rural women in the workforce.
