Significant Progress in Maternal Health Initiatives in India
As of July 2025, over 72.22 lakh pregnant women are registered under Mission Poshan 2.0, and more than 4.05 crore beneficiaries have received maternity benefits through the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana since its inception. The Government of India has implemented various health initiatives to improve maternal health, reduce anemia, and provide quality healthcare services to pregnant women and newborns. These initiatives include free delivery services, antenatal check-ups, and nutritional support through Anganwadi Centres, along with the use of technology for better monitoring and transparency in service delivery.
