Significant Progress on Hejamadi Kodi Fishing Harbour Project in Karnataka
The Hejamadi Kodi Fishing Harbour Project in Udupi district, Karnataka, is progressing towards completion with 87% of the work finished as of now. The project, approved on August 13, 2018, by the Indian government, aims to develop the existing fish landing center with a total budget of ₹138.60 crore. The Government of Karnataka, as the implementing agency under the Sagarmala Scheme, has set March 2026 as the target completion date. The financial assistance includes ₹34.65 crore from governmental funds, enhancing infrastructure to support the local fishing industry.
