Simulations Decode Rare Twin Radio Galaxies
Researchers have successfully reproduced the complex morphology of the recently discovered Twin Radio Galaxies (TRGs), enhancing the understanding of black-hole-driven jets and their interactions with host galaxies. This study reveals the dynamics of these jets, their energy deposition, and their influence on the surrounding galaxy environment. The research, led by the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, utilized 3-D hydrodynamical simulations to analyze the jets' behavior and morphology, providing insights into the gravitational interactions between supermassive black holes during galaxy mergers.
