Skill Development Efforts in India: Comprehensive Network Under Skill India Mission

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), under the Skill India Mission, coordinates an extensive network of skill development centers across India. Initiatives such as the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS) scheme, National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS), and Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) enable comprehensive skill training programs. These initiatives aim to equip the youth with industry-relevant skills. A detailed report includes the establishment of Skill Development Centres (SDCs) and the respective budget allocations for state and UT-managed training centers over the years. Under new policies, placement tracking and training monitoring have been enhanced, ensuring better alignment with industry demands.
