Skill Development Under Samarth Scheme

The Ministry of Textiles is implementing the Samarth scheme to provide demand-driven, placement-oriented skilling programs in the textile sector across India. Over the last three years, 319,887 beneficiaries have been trained, with 273,681 placed, including significant representation from SC and ST communities. The scheme offers a minimum placement guarantee of 70% for entry-level training and 90% for upskilling, along with provisions for self-employment in traditional sectors.
