Skill India Mission: Empowering Workforce through Training
The Skill India Mission, under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, aims to create a skilled workforce by providing training to 298.25 million existing workers and 104.62 million new entrants by 2022. Various schemes like PMKVY, JSS, NAPS, and CTS are implemented to facilitate this training. The National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) ensures quality and standardization in vocational education, recognizing skills acquired through formal and informal training.
