Socio-Economic Empowerment of Minority Communities
The Government of India implements various schemes aimed at the socio-economic and educational empowerment of six notified minority communities, including Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Parsis, and Jains. These initiatives include scholarship schemes for education, skill development programs, infrastructure development in minority areas, and loan schemes for income generation. The Ministry of Minority Affairs also addresses grievances from minority individuals as per the National Commission for Minorities Act.
