Standing Committees of Regional Councils Address Key National Issues
The Standing Committees of Zonal Councils such as Northern, Southern, Eastern, Western, and Central Regions have been engaged in critical discussions from February 2023 to January 2026. These committees evaluated issues related to state reorganization, infrastructure development, environmental challenges, and pressing national concerns like education, health, and cybersecurity. Over the past three years, ten meetings have been conducted to assess these issues, with recent discussions focusing on the provision of banking facilities in villages, tackling malnutrition, school dropout rates, and cybercrime. This information was presented by Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Shri Nityanand Rai.
