Status Report on Air India Flight AI-171 Black Box Recovery

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has released a status report on the recovery and examination of black boxes from Air India Flight AI-171, which crashed on June 13, 2025. The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) initiated an investigation and formed a multidisciplinary team, including representatives from the NTSB. Both Cockpit Voice Recorders (CVR) and Flight Data Recorders (FDR) were recovered and secured. Data extraction began on June 24, 2025, with ongoing analysis to reconstruct the accident sequence and enhance aviation safety.
