STPI Network Fuels Tech Growth in Non-Metros

The Software Technology Park of India (STPI) has significantly contributed to the growth of the IT sector in non-metro areas, creating 2.98 lakh jobs by March 2025. STPI has supported 1,121 startups with ₹39.86 crore in funding over the last three years, leading to a 20-fold increase in patents and a fourfold rise in startups since 2019. The initiative aims to expand the IT/ITES sector beyond major cities, with 68 STPI centers established, primarily in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
