Strengthening Arbitration and Mediation Infrastructure in India

The Government of India has enacted the India International Arbitration Centre Act, 2019, establishing the India International Arbitration Centre to facilitate institutional arbitration and enhance the quality of the arbitration framework. Additionally, the Mediation Act, 2023 promotes institutional mediation and establishes the Mediation Council of India. Recent conferences have been held to promote mediation and institutional arbitration as preferred modes of dispute resolution across the country.
