Strengthening India's Public Healthcare System
The Government of India has implemented various initiatives to enhance the public healthcare system, ensuring universal access to quality healthcare. Key measures include the establishment of 1,77,906 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission with a budget of ₹64,180 crore, and the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission for electronic health records. Additionally, the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri-Jan Arogya Yojana provides health coverage to 12 crore families, including senior citizens. The government has also increased medical education facilities significantly.
