Subsidies Under National Handloom Development Programme (NHDP)

The Ministry of Textiles provides financial assistance to handloom agencies and workers under the National Handloom Development Programme (NHDP) through various components such as Cluster Development Programme and Weaver’s Mudra loan. Funds are released in two installments based on project proposals from States/UTs. As of June 2025, approximately 6.27 lakh handloom workers have benefited from these initiatives, with ongoing efforts to register and support additional workers through an online portal.
