Subsidy for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Beneficiaries

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has been implementing the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban (PMAY-U) since June 25, 2015, to provide pucca houses with basic amenities to eligible urban beneficiaries. The scheme includes four verticals: Beneficiary Led Construction, Affordable Housing in Partnership, In-Situ Slum Redevelopment, and Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS). A total of ₹58,885 crore has been disbursed as interest subsidy to over 25 lakh beneficiaries. The revamped PMAY-U 2.0 aims to assist 1 crore additional beneficiaries over the next five years, offering interest subsidies and affordable housing options.
