Successful Auction of Seven Coal Blocks in 12th Round

The Ministry of Coal successfully auctioned seven coal blocks in the 12th round of commercial auctions, held from July 28 to July 31, 2025. These blocks, with a combined geological reserve of approximately 1,761.49 million tonnes and a Peak Rated Capacity of 5.25 MTPA, are expected to generate an annual revenue of ₹719.90 crore and create over 7,000 jobs. This auction reflects the ongoing interest in the coal sector and the Ministry's commitment to economic growth and self-reliance in coal production.
