Successful Auction of Ten Critical Mineral Blocks in India

The Ministry of Mines has successfully auctioned 10 out of 15 critical and strategic mineral blocks in Tranche V, including the first-ever Potash blocks in India. This auction, which concluded on May 27, 2025, marks a significant step towards self-sufficiency in critical minerals, with a total of 34 blocks auctioned to date. The auctioned minerals include Graphite, Phosphorite, Phosphate, Rare Earth Elements (REE), and Vanadium, with the Potash blocks expected to boost domestic mining and reduce import reliance.
