Successful Flight-Test of Astra BVRAAM by DRDO & IAF

The Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Air Force (IAF) successfully conducted a flight-test of the indigenous Astra Beyond Visual Range Air-to-Air missile equipped with a Radio Frequency Seeker from the Su-30 Mk-I platform off the coast of Odisha on July 11, 2025. The tests involved two launches against high-speed unmanned aerial targets, both achieving pinpoint accuracy. The Astra missile, with a range exceeding 100 km, showcases advanced guidance and navigation systems, and its successful testing marks a significant milestone in India's defence technology.
