Successful Hatching of Great Indian Bustard Marks Conservation Milestone in Gujarat

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change announced a major conservation success with the birth of a Great Indian Bustard chick in Gujarat through a cooperative effort involving the State Forest Departments of Rajasthan and Gujarat and the Wildlife Institute of India. This initiative marked the first inter-state Jumpstart Approach for the species, involving the transfer and successful hatching of an incubated egg.
