SVAMITVA Implementation Progress in Gujarat

The SVAMITVA scheme, aimed at mapping rural inhabited lands using drones, has seen substantial progress in Gujarat. Drone surveys have been completed in 14,670 villages, resulting in over 15.7 lakh property cards being issued to beneficiaries in 9,680 villages. The property cards, once generated, are integrated with Gujarat's City Survey Information System for ongoing maintenance. Furthermore, 43 loans worth Rs. 3.73 crore have been disbursed against these cards for various improvements at the beneficiaries' discretion. Despite this success, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj does not keep data at the individual household level.
