Swachh Bharat Diwas Observed by Ministry of Jal Shakti
The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS) of the Ministry of Jal Shakti celebrated Swachh Bharat Diwas with a collective cleanliness drive, marking the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. The Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 campaign, running from September 17 to October 2, has engaged over 16 crore citizens in cleaning efforts, resulting in significant improvements in public spaces and cleanliness target units across the nation. Secretary DDWS, Shri Ashok K K Meena, emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining cleanliness and praised the efforts of local officials.
