Swachhta Campaign Emphasizes Technology and Waste-to-Wealth Initiatives
Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh has called for the inclusion of technology options and 'waste to wealth' methodologies in the Swachhta campaign. He highlighted the importance of citizen awareness in making cleanliness a daily norm and cited successful initiatives like waste recycling at AIIMS and Kumbh. The campaign aims to promote self-reliance and a cleaner environment through innovative practices, including e-waste recycling and the reprocessing of cooking oil. The Government of India has launched Special Campaign 5.0, focusing on cleanliness and efficiency across ministries from October 2 to 31, 2025.
