Expansion of Namrup Fertilizer Plant to Boost Production and Employment

Union Minister Shri Sarbananda Sonowal announced a significant investment of over ₹10,000 crore for the expansion of the Namrup Fertilizer Plant in Assam. The new brownfield Ammonia-Urea complex aims to produce 12.5 lakh metric tonnes of fertilizer annually, enhancing agricultural productivity and creating employment opportunities in the Northeast.
